I suspect it is my inability to have any competence with
regard to I.T. that means closing my old blog and starting a new one
is ...challenging. How embarrassing is that? Nevertheless I will
continue. Of late, I remember the days of being at work and being
tired and busy, and wishing that I was retired and had time to
just...sit....and read...or watch films...and go out and about...see friends....travel....visit exhibitions....galleries.....picnic..... or just
pootle about doing ....not very much at all.
Those times are here.
Be careful what you wish for.
You've cracked it! xx
ReplyDeleteI think you are going to need a Followers gadget as some will ask so they can follow. Go to Design, Layout and add the Gadget for Followers. xx
ReplyDeleteYes you e cracked it well done deArheart x
ReplyDeleteWith help from you both...thankyou.
ReplyDeleteNext stop building a new hadron collider.....
You've done it!
ReplyDeleteOnwards and upwards!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping I can muster some of your 'can-do' attitude!
DeleteThanks for visiting.
Greetings from over the Pond. Albeit from someone who does not have a blog, but following over from John's post. Retired a few years ago...happily so. V. long commutes and too much business travel. Helps to be an introvert these days. Not that the US has anything resembling a lockdown like the UK--hence our wicked numbers. I nevertheless stay home but have weekday visits from 6 yr old GS. Helping him with virtual schooling (schools haven't opened here since last March--all online). Guess I retired from one job and now have another. :) Looking forward to your posts.

DeleteI thank you for your good wishes Gene...and wish for happiness for all of us to come.
DeleteHello Libby,
ReplyDeleteGood to see another blogger returning to Blogland.
We have just had a six year absence....amazing how time flies. And, it is difficult to know why we have returned except that we really missed our blogging chums.
Perhaps these strange and difficult times call out for more of us to reach out and connect. Travelling the world virtually is joyful.
Welcome back.
π
DeleteWelcome both...thank you for visiting. It is true that
Deleteit is difficult to understand why blogging get's under
your skin. My other blog was a place I loved to 'be' for
10 years!....and then my circumstances changed and Life
is now different...strange and difficult times indeed.
I did enjoy reading your blog....welcome back.
Hahaha
ReplyDeleteI feel you. I can't believe one year ago I wanted to just stay home and chill for a whole day. Now I have to structure my days so carefully I feel my OCD spikes by the minute.
Good luck with the 'new' blog!!
XOXO
p.s. John sent me...
π
DeleteHello Sixpence, thank you for visiting. I appreciate the good wishes...and John is a man we feel we must obey isn't he!
DeleteRetirement will get better once you are permitted to do everything you want to do. X
ReplyDeleteHello Mave....welcome! and thank you for that kind

I'm pleased to find a new blog, via John. Perhaps if the weather improves we will all feel the sun. I love to be outside either looking for spring bulbs coming through, birds chattering or our local heron ( easily mistaken for a teridactyl) flying over.
ReplyDeleteWelcome AR. Thank you for dropping by. Seeing the signs of
Deletea change in the Seasons is lovely isn't it.
Pleased to be here.
ReplyDeleteNow, about that hadron collider...
Well you may be pleased now GP....give it a while! Thank you
Deletefor visiting. As for the Hadron Collider? well I've started putting some stuff together that I found at the back of the shed.....it could take a while.......
Hi, via John's blog.
ReplyDeleteI.T. is always challenging! I was computerised by my geek son in 2007...my computer still has an "L"plate on it....
Welcome back to blogging...the more the merrier π
Hello qz......thank you so much for calling in. John has
Deletevery persuasive ways doesn't he? I'm so glad it's not just me that is rubbish with t'internet!
Welcome back to blogland.
ReplyDeleteHello Weaver..thank you so much for visiting. Your recent
Deletefall and temporary absence was quite a scare to everyone,
it is good to have you back too!
John sent us, welcome to blog land. I have 29 months to go to retirement, not that I am counting or anything.
ReplyDeleteHello and welcome. I am a returner to blogland .. I had a blog I called home for 10 years, but over the last few years my life has changed and I took a break...now ready to jump back in though!
DeleteI envy you retirees with a pension or savings. I expect to be a bag lady at some point. LOL. Not really. But can't see retirement ever being an option for me; I have to work till I die. Sigh. It is what it is; choices I've made. Worth it. You retirees inspire me anyway and besides, a gal can dream, right?
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing more from you, Libby. John wouldn't steer his readers wrong. No pressure!! LOL
-Kate in Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan... a place name I've always loved! Welcome
DeleteBlondi and thank you for calling in. I am retired but as hard as I try I can't find any savings?!..I've looked down the back of the couch and under the bed too.....
Hello. I'd barely begun following you when you left! But now you are here again and I've signed on.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne, thank you so much for visiting. Yes I am here
Deleteagain...I missed blogging and now feel that the time is right to dip my toes back in the water....
Welcome to retired land life is not normal at the moment. When it retired life can be great. Meeting up with friends for coffee or lunch sitting in garden on hot summer days wearing what you want every day not having to dress for work. Spending more time with grandchildren. The list is endless enjoy and make the most of every day.
ReplyDeleteHi Irene, thank you for dropping by. I would never have believed that Life could be this way ..who would? but with luck I will get around to having the retirement I imagined!
DeleteFanbloodytastic that you're back! What a start to retirement we've had. Things can only get better, as they say. Good weekend to you, Lady. xxx
ReplyDeleteHello My love!..have decided to try and be proactive and positive and had a word with myself and so ...ta-da! I'm giving it another go. We surely could never have believed the last couple of years could we? but as you say (and here I'm crossing my fingers) things can only get better...
Deletehave a great weekend xx
